The Rev. G.A. Whitehead
The Rev. G.A. Whitehead serves as Curate at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church and Campus Missioner at the Episcopal Student Center at Sam Houston State University. He earned his Master of Divinity from Seminary of the Southwest and was ordained a deacon in the Episcopal Diocese of Texas in June 2026. Before entering ordained ministry, G.A. worked for more than 25 years as a medical laboratory scientist and educator. He is passionate about creating a welcoming Christian community where students can grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, ask honest questions, and discover ways to serve others.

Lucas is a Senior at SHSU and is a History Major. He has been with the ESC for 3 years, and enjoys the fellowship and community of the ESC. He is especially moved by the beauty of the Eucharist on Sunday’s. His hobbies include playing the Violin and Gaming.

I am a History & Education Double Major hoping to become a High School or College History Teacher. I am from Noblesville,Indiana but was raised in Houston,Texas for almost all my life. I was Baptized on November 2nd,2025 at the ESC and Confirmed at St Stephen’s on Easter Sunday. Outside of serving the ESC I also serve the Sam Houston State Esports Program as a Head Councilor and Player.
